Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Mark Arena is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Intel 471. Mark was previously employed by iSIGHT Partners (now FireEye) as their Chief Researcher. Prior to this, Mark worked at the Australian Federal Police as a technical specialist within the High Tech Crime Operations function. He worked on a number of different crime types when new, unique or emerging technologies were used by criminals that required a solution when no commercial/out of the box solution was available. Prior to the Australian Federal Police, Mark worked as a Software Engineer on embedded systems for public transportation systems.
Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder
Jason is the Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for helping shape the overall strategy of the company and leading and supporting all facets of the company in the execution of its mission. Jason’s experience spans 24 years and includes building and running iSIGHT Partners (now FireEye) Global Research department, working in federal law enforcement in tracking some of the world’s most sophisticated cybercriminals and conducting tactical intel collection in support of combat and other military operations. Jason spent the first 12 years of his career in the United States Marine Corps where he served as a Counterintelligence/HUMINT specialist, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) specialist and an infantry rifleman.
Chief Financial Officer
Dena Timm is the Chief Financial Officer of Intel 471 and manages the financial, administrative, legal and HR functions of the company. Prior to joining in 2018, she served as Global Controller and Head of International Operations for iSIGHT Partners (now FireEye). Prior to joining iSIGHT, Dena worked as Financial Controller for Texas Advanced Optoelectronics Solutions (now Austriamicrosystems AG) and Codestream Technologies. Dena began her career with Arthur Anderson in Dallas and Kyiv, Ukraine working on audit, due diligence and M&A projects throughout North America and Eastern Europe.
Chief Technology Officer
Sergiy Khandogin is the Chief Technology Officer of Intel 471 and manages technology and product development. Prior to joining in 2020, he held executive roles (CTO, COO) in the software solutions provider Innovecs where he was involved in managing technology, operations, and finance. Sergiy has more than 20 years experience in software development and global companies, both from a services provider and product perspective.
Chief Revenue Officer
Andy Chandler is the Chief Revenue Officer at Intel 471. Prior to joining in 2019, he spent eight years after college in the United Kingdom's Armed Forces and since then 20+ years in the IT industry, including senior management roles in sales, product management and marketing. Most recently he was the Senior Vice President at Fox-IT in the Netherlands, where he helped the owners evolve the business from being domestically-focused to being recognized as one of the global leaders in cyber threat intelligence.
Senior Vice President Sales of Americas
As Intel 471’s Senior Vice President of Sales for the Americas, Jeff Needham is responsible for driving customer revenue in the Americas. Jeff Manages an experienced team to deliver Intel 471’s cybercrime intelligence to protect Global clients in Large Enterprise, Finance, Gov’t, Healthcare and Retail. Jeff has been in the security industry 20+ years with companies including Cisco Systems, Symantec, IBM, BigFix and other various security startups. Jeff graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Vice President of Intelligence
As Vice President of Intelligence, Michael provides strategic and operational leadership across Intel 471's globally diverse team of HUMINT and technical researchers, linguists, analysts, and intelligence collection managers. Before Intel 471, Michael developed strategy and led operations as the US representative and Head of Cybercrime Intelligence at INTERPOL. As a Special Agent at the US Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), he specialized in national security cyber counterintelligence investigations impacting the US Navy and Department of Defense.
Vice President of Technology
From the company’s first days as a Vice President of Technology, Maksym is responsible for building Intel 471's core technology and products as well as growing the development team in Kyiv, Ukraine, finding the best talent, providing strategic vision, and ensuring delivery. During 20+ years in software development, Maksym has built many products for many organizations. His expertise helped 2 other software companies to grow from 3 people to over 50 engineers who successfully develop unique solutions for their customers.
Director of Global Research
As Director of Global Research, Mykhailo oversees Intel 471’s cyber threat intelligence collection efforts, with a special focus on proactive monitoring, tracking and attribution of financially motivated cyber threat actors. Before joining Intel 471, Mykhailo served in various operational roles in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the country’s primary security agency. In SBU Mykhailo specialized in cyber investigations and provided computer forensic support to key cases, including in counterintelligence, counterterrorism and organized crime.
Director of Malware Intelligence
Nick is the Director of Malware Intelligence at Intel 471. He leads a diverse team of malware analysts and engineers within the Intel 471’s intelligence department. The Malware Intelligence team is responsible for tracking financially motivated malware threats, analyzing malicious code including exploits, and providing a stream of high quality intelligence data. Prior to Intel 471, Nick was a Senior Security Researcher and engineer at FireEye and iSIGHT Partners where he primarily designed and implemented several intelligence collection tools and systems.
Senior Director of Intelligence Collection
As Senior Director of Intelligence Collection, Joseph oversees Intel 471’s globally diverse team of subject matter experts who work directly with our clients to ensure that their intelligence needs are met pro-actively. Prior to Intel 471, Joseph spent several years as Head of Cyber Threat Intelligence at one of the largest UK retail banks, where he led a team which grew a solid reputation for success.
Director of Intelligence Collection, APAC
As Director of Intelligence Collection for the APAC region, Brian is responsible for meeting the intelligence needs of Intel 471’s clients, working closely with our researchers and analysts. He also oversees the team which edits and performs quality control on our daily stream of Information Reports. Prior to Intel 471, Brian spent 12 years as a cyber threat intelligence analyst, working for two groundbreaking security startups and specializing in geopolitical, mobile security and healthcare issues.
Director of Intelligence Collection, AMER
As Intel 471's Director of Intelligence Collection for the AMER region, Garrett is responsible for ensuring the bespoke intelligence needs of clients are met in a comprehensive, timely, and often proactive manner. As a point of coordination between clients and multiple research, analytic, and additional collection management facets of the company, Garrett seeks to fill intelligence gaps by revealing criminal actors operating in the underground who are actively providing illicit products, services and goods. Prior to joining Intel 471 as a Senior Collection Manager, Garrett spent 15 years in the U.S. Government and financial sectors, focused on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats.
Director of Intelligence Collection, EMEA/AFR/ROW
As Director of Intelligence Collection for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Rest-of-World, Simon performs a client-facing role, by coordinating internal efforts to ensure our client’s intelligence requirements are fulfilled in an expeditious and accurate manner. Prior to joining Intel 471, Simon spent 31 years as a police officer based in London and Washington DC. During his policing career, Simon accumulated significant experience in criminal investigations, risk management & critical incident response; related to homicide, counterterrorism, financial crime, drug trafficking, counter corruption and cybercrime.
Senior Intelligence Collection Manager
As a Senior Intelligence Collection Manager, Alexandra coordinates and undertakes in-depth research to assist with continually meeting clients customized intelligence requirements in a timely and effective manner. Prior to joining Intel 471, Alexandra spent a number of years as a research analyst for the Australian Department of Defence before joining PwC as a threat intelligence consultant working across numerous industries. Her focus was primarily on mitigating and remediating cyber threats, including building out and delivering cyber security improvement programs, both pre- and post-breach, for multinational organizations.
Senior Intelligence Collection Manager
As a Senior Intelligence Collection Manager, Jim is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients and ensuring all their intelligence needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner. Jim works collectively across multiple teams to coordinate collection efforts and provide timely intelligence support. Prior to joining Intel 471, Jim spent approximately 14 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During his tenure as a Special Agent, Jim primarily focused on top tier financially motivated cyber criminals stemming from Eastern Europe. Jim was the lead case agent on multiple cyber investigations, most notably Operation Trident Breach which ultimately led to a RICO indictment of some of the most notorious cybercriminals in the world.
Director of Business Development
Lilian is the Director of Intel 471’s business development and partner program. She oversees strategic enablement for existing and emerging partner and channel alliances, supports the expansion of industry and technology integrations and leads key business development growth for Intel 471s. Prior to Intel 471, Lilian supported customers worldwide across a variety of verticals for another cyber threat intelligence vendor. Prior to that, Lilian worked for Booz Allen Hamilton as an expert focused on Eastern European cybercrime.
Director of Intelligence Solutions
As Director of Intelligence Solutions, Kristopher formulates and leads pre-sales technical/functional support activities for prospective clients. Prior to joining Intel 471, Kristopher over 20 years of diverse experiences from USAF ISR communities to DOD contract agencies before venturing into the commercial space working with companies such as ArcSight, HPE SOC and Anomali.
Vice President of EMEA & Rest-of-World
Andrew is responsible for leading Intel 471's business across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Rest-of-World, with a focus on driving incremental and net-new customer growth across these regions. Prior to Intel 471, Andrew held leadership roles at ReversingLabs and IBM Security. Along with his international business experience in Cybersecurity and Technology, he has a technical background in software engineering, ethical hacking and other technology leadership roles in a variety of startups.
