The Top Cover series is a threat hunting management workshop designed to equip security leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to build, develop, and optimize their threat hunting teams. Each session focuses on a critical aspect of managing a successful program, from hiring and training to operational effectiveness and leadership strategies.

In this session, we will cover one of the biggest challenges security leaders face—hiring the right threat hunters. Many teams struggle to find candidates who bring both technical expertise and the problem-solving mindset needed for effective threat hunting. Unrealistic expectations and the search for a perfect hire often leave roles unfilled, delaying critical security operations.
